I’m Dr. Nadine Lida Broodryk, the artist behind Lida la Luna Art, and I create live wedding paintings and playful watercolour guest portraits that capture the people, atmosphere and little moments that make your celebration uniquely yours. My style is light, expressive and full of character — never stiff or overly formal.

For live guest portraits, I paint your guests during your wedding or event, creating small, original artworks for them to take home. It becomes part entertainment, part keepsake, and often a lovely talking point as guests stop by to watch the paintings come to life.

For couples wanting a larger, lasting artwork, I also create live wedding paintings and commissioned pieces inspired by your venue, celebration and story.

Every booking is approached personally. We’ll discuss your wedding, guest numbers, timing and the type of experience you would like to create, and I’ll recommend an option that suits your day. Depending on the booking, I can paint for several hours on site, with selected artworks completed in my studio afterwards where necessary.

My aim is simple: to add something beautiful and a little unexpected to your wedding — and to leave you and your guests with art that carries the memory of the day long after the flowers have faded.
