What’s in a colour?

If it represents your wedding, quite a bit, we say. It creates the theme and sets the mood and tone for the day. If your wedding colour scheme is traditional and stylish your wedding might have more of a formal feel to it and your guests will follow suit. It you choose playful colours it allows more room for spontaneity and playfulness. This of course doesn’t mean that a formal wedding can’t have a playful vibe - the bride and groom’s personalities play a role as well.

Take your time choosing your wedding colours; they should be timeless. When using bold colours, use them sparingly - you don’t want your colour scheme to overpower the decor and fine elements that you planned with so much care. In the same breath, don’t be scared of bringing in a bright colour, it can be quite liberating!

Discuss your colour preferences with your wedding planner and ask for their professional input.
