We booked this place for a weekend for a Stones & Bones event. Shout to Koketso and Luan for great customer service. Enjoyed the breakie, very nice and filling. To management: The rooms do need some work. Our room had a horrible smell (more like mold or a full time smoker stayed in there). We had an issue with our lights but Koketso was able to sort that out - such things could be avoided. Otherwise the place is a bit far from the shops so best you come prepared and your enjoy your stay. Thank you Koketso and Luan. Keep up the great work. Till we meet again.
The accommodation itself was excellent. The rooms were clean, comfortable (we were given a wrong room than what we booked for) but well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. The location was convenient, and most of the staff were professional and helpful. I truly enjoyed my stay and would have rated the experience much higher based on the facilities alone. However, my experience at reception was disappointing due to the poor service I received from one of the black receptionists on arrival, who is the reason we were given the wrong room in the first place. The interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, which left a negative impression during check-in. Good customer service is an important part of hospitality, and I believe management should address this to ensure every guest feels respected and valued. Despite that issue, the accommodation itself was still very good, and with better front desk service, the overall experience would be outstanding.
Villa Paradiso has all the great qualities for a hotel however they have fallen short on cleanliness, atmosphere and maintenance. The rooms of the hotel were purely decorated and the sheets had holes in and towels were taken and not replaced. The rooms were unclean and were not up to 3 star standard. The receptionist overcharged us on our arrival and the refund was an inconvenience and was not rectified by the end of our stay. The general maintenance and upkeep of the hotel has not been kept up, with electrical wires exposed, dustbins not being cleared regularly, there were bricks missing off the steps and signs were worn down and barely legible. The restaurant and bar were closed during the busiest time of the year meaning you had to leave the facilities in order to grab a drink or dinner, however the breakfast offered in the morning was good. The water in the bathrooms was stinking and created a stench in the room, the room smelt of sewage. Villa Paradiso no longer meets the requirements of a 3 star hotel and should not charge the fees of a 3 star hotel. In an disgusted with my stay at Villa Paradiso.
