Royal Wedding Cake - The Wedding Cake is an integral part of any wedding celebration, and that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was no exception. In fact, the Royal Couple commissioned not one, but two, wedding cakes for their wedding receptions, both held at Buckingham Palace, after their wedding service on Friday, 29 April 2011.

The first, designed and made by Fiona Cairns Delicious Delicacies, a traditional multi-tiered fruit cake decorated with cream and white icing and, with what The Palace refers to as, a ‘strong British floral theme’. The second cake was specially requested by HRH Prince William - a chocolate biscuit cake, said to be an old Royal Family recipe and a favourite treat of the Prince.
