The Royal wedding venue - HRH Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his new bride, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge had not one, but two wedding receptions - a Champagne Reception hosted by the Queen, Elizabeth II, in the afternoon and an evening dinner-dance hosted by William’s father, HRH Prince Charles of Wales.
Both receptions were held at the most magnificent of Royal wedding venue - Buckingham Palace. Around 650 guests attended the Queen’s Champagne Reception, where they snacked on a selection of canapes and sipped Pol Roger NV Brut Reserve Champagne. Wedding music was provided by Claire Jones, the official Harpist to HRH, the Prince of Wales.
The Queen didn’t attend the evening reception, but 300 close friends and family of the Duke and Duchess partied until 3am the following morning - in the Throne Room, which had been transformed into a nightclub, complete with DJ, dance floor, bar and chill-out zone.
