It is not always possible to get married legally in all countries. Some countries may conduct wedding ceremonies that contravene the normal standards of marriage in your own country so a marriage will not be legal when you return home. If you marry abroad you will have to follow the marriage laws of that country. Usually you will have to provide proof that you are free & single (sometimes for divorcees you may have had to be divorced for 9 months), proof of age (usually over 18) and proof of your identity. If your destination is a non English speaking county you will usually require official translations of documents. So before jetting off to an exotic destination abroad, do your homework first or ask a specialist to organise your destination wedding for you.
