True Love

Drop a tear, It releases the fear. Feel her near, and tell it to her ear I’ll love you to the end of years.

Kabetu Kenya

Smooth and Steadfast Mind

Smooth and steadfast mind, Gentle thoughts and calm desires, Hearts with equal love combined, Kindle never-dying fires.

Thomas Carew (1595-1645), English poet

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

W. B. Yeats (1865-1939), Irish poet and dramatist. Yeats was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923. In this beautiful poem, the poet laments his wish to give his love the impossible!

An Irish Wedding Blessing

You are the star of each night, You are the brightness of every morning, You are the story of each guest, You are the report of every land. No evil shall befall you, on hill nor bank, In field or valley, on mountain or in glen. Neither above, nor below, neither in sea, Nor on shore, in skies above, Nor in the depths. You are the kernel of my heart, You are the face of my sun, You are the harp of my music, You are the crown of my company

Add a lyrical Gaelic quality to your wedding ceremony with this beautiful traditional Irish wedding blessing
